Where and when were you born BLAERG?

i was born in toledo ohio, where i still live on a saturday afternoon in '79

2_What does BLAERG mean? and why do you use it?

its a joke word my wife (now ex) thought was very funny, i use it because i was sure no one else would want it and its easy to remember..

3_The first reference that we have from your work was in 2003, but we want
to know when have you started to play music? and how have you arrived to
this point (breakcore)?

i got my first electric bass at age 13, i taught myself playing along with great bass players from metallica, iron maiden and voivod. i became bored with listening to metal stuff around 2002 and discovered crazybeats on accident, but felt this was something i could work with, and enjoy.

4_When you produce, which is the process? You use a computer? What software?

computers, some hardware for controlling softsynths.. FL 5 for sequencing.

5_Or you use samplers and a beat box?

im not really a fan of gear...

6_You prefer play live music or play records like a ¨Dj¨?

live PA, improvised... many livesets: http://www.trinitydon.com/BLAERG/media/

7_The remixes that we know are taken from "Psycho" (shower scene), other
from Sesame Street and others from classical music. Do you prefer build your
music around old tunes? and wich are your musical references?

lots of references, anything with a good melody, more recent years have shown my work to use less discernable sources, more re-arranged as to make something new out of the old.

8_You have some mixtapes and an LP "Incesant subversive decibels" but,
Which will be your next project? Are you going to record a new LP or make any
collaboration with another musician?

i am working on a full-length cd album at the moment.. its taking a while.

9_We want to know too if you use to go to breakcore festivals or shows and
what do you think about the scene?

99.9% of the people i meet that are interested in doing similar things are very genuine and fun to be around, share ideas with, learn from etc. the events in america are generally pretty small compared with europe, but we have fun nonetheless.

10_You work in this alone or are you a member of a collective?

'blaerg' is a singular entity unto myself, i prefer to be 'the boss'. i have a collaboration with someone from my hometown that combines breakcore ideas with grind/metal: http://www.myspace.com/thediseasemodel

11_And last but not least for us: Are you coming to Europe to play?

i visited in 2004, would like to again soon, but must be patient, having a full length album released should make this much easier, so time will tell!
